The Oregon coast is an exceptional getaway destination, even when it’s raining. Curl up next to your private fireplace and enjoy one of our thousands of free movies. Even when it’s not raining, enjoying a favorite movie can be a relaxing end to the perfect day of hiking, kayaking or crabbing. Each room comes equipped with a flat screen TV and DVD player, so all you have to do is pick which one you want to watch. And with no limit on movies, you can always come back for more.
Free Kayaking
Whether you’re an experienced kayaker or never been before, Nehalem Bay has something for you. We have the perfect launch point from our dock and even offer free kayaking with a two-night stay minimum. It’s the perfect way to enjoy our local wildlife without disturbing their habitat. From bald eagles to Chinook Salmon to rare pelican sightings, kayaking is a peaceful opportunity to connect with nature.

Now is the time for crabbing
For those who love to crab, now is the best time to go crabbing since crabs are more plentiful, fresher, and meatier. Nehalem Bay is known for being an excellent place to catch crab. What better way to go crabbing than during your stay at Wheeler on the Bay? Head next door to Wheeler Marina, where they offer boat and crab ring rentals. We’d also be happy to help connect you with a local fisherman to help you with all your crabbing efforts. Now go out there and catch some crab!
