Wheeler on the Bay offers direct/immediate access to Nehalem Bay from our own dock, where you will find some of the best calm water kayaking in the Oregon. Great for bird watching, fishing, exploring marshes and other wild life, Nehalem Bay offers a the perfect exploration for beginners to intermediate level recreational kayakers.
For sea kayakers, Wheeler on the Bay offers the perfect launch point and home base for a weekend or multi-day kayaking trip. Launch your sea kayak directly from our dock and head directly to sea, just a couple of miles down stream. Begin your day when the tide is going out and paddle back with ease on an incoming tide.
