The hard rains have not come yet so the crab are still in the bay. As long as we don’t get any big rain storms the crabbing will continue to be good. The ones we are getting are large, hard shelled and full of meat. There are no signs of them moving out into the ocean yet. So lets hope they stay in for a while. I for one would like them to be in the bay through Christmas…

The crabbing has defiantly slowed down, but the good news is that they have hard shells now. So the ones you get will be full of meat. There are no signs of them moving out into the ocean yet.

This is going to be one of those years that goes down as the best year yet. There are still lots of crabs in the bay and we don’t see any signs of them moving out yet. Everyday limits are being taken and the shells are getting hard. I hope this continues until spring.

The crabbing is showing signs of slowing down. I don’t know if it is because there has just been so many crabbers out there or if the rains have moved some out. Its still good just not as hot as it has been. They are starting to harden up a little also, so you don’t have to pick through them as much as before to get some nice hard ones.

9-25-2011 – I hate to repeat myself but what can I say,

• There are crabs where there never has been crabs before…. There just is not a bad place in the bay!
• It just can’t get any better, everyone is getting there limits in a couple of hours, they are still a little soft so you have to pick but they are out there
